The Lost Cellphone
Anna is a student. She lives in a big city. Every morning, she takes the bus to school. She likes to listen to music on her phone. One day, Anna is on the bus. She is happy, singing quietly. But when she gets off the bus, her phone is gone! “Oh no!” Anna says. “Where is my phone?” She looks in her bag. No phone. She checks her pockets. Nothing. Anna feels sad. Her phone has her music, her photos, and her friends’ numbers. She thinks, “Maybe I dropped it on the bus.” Anna runs back to the bus stop, but the bus is gone. She sits on a bench and sighs. A kind old man sees her. “Are you okay?” he asks.“ I lost my phone,” Anna says. “It’s very important.” The man smiles. “Let’s call it!” he says. He takes his phone and dials Anna’s number. They listen. Suddenly, Anna hears her favorite song! It’s coming from under the bench. She looks down and sees her phone! “Yay!” Anna shouts. “Thank you, sir!” She picks up her phone and hugs it. The man laughs. “Be careful next time,” he says. Anna nods. “I will!” She feels happy again. She puts her phone in her bag and zips it tight. Then she walks to school, singing her favorite song.
